Design
The troop transport shuttle featured a simple box-like hull, with most of its engines being mounted at the rear. The cockpit was mounted to the extreme bow of the ship. A large cargo bay with a folding ramp had capacity for various ground vehicles, whilst seats for troops were fitted to the sides of the bay. A passenger cabin was also available. Role and Capabilities
In addition to its role of transporting troops to and from planetary surfaces, the troop transport shuttle was used for transportation tasks, such as transferring crew to their ships. (DNT: 'The Unbeatable Magician', 'The Verge of Death (Part One)')
The shuttle was additionally used for combat-related tasks, including supporting security forces in ground operations. (DNT: 'Ignition Point')
