Service history

Flagship of the Wahlen Fleet, the Salamander's first campaign was the counterattack against the Free Planets Alliance's invasion of Imperial space in 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE) - engaging and defeating the 3rd Fleet. It then rejoined with all of Fleet Admiral Lohengramm's forces in the Battle of Amritsar Starzone. In 797 UC (488 IC / 3597 CE) the Salamander led the Wahlen Fleet as part of the fleet of High Admiral Siegfried Kircheis during the Imperial Civil War, alongside the Lutz Fleet. (DNT: 'The Verge of Death (Part Two)', 'Amritsar', 'Tragedy')

Design

Like most Imperial flagships, the Salamander's design resembled a standard Imperial battleship in layout. The Salamander's most prominent design feature was a pair of large cannons on either side of its prow.
