The Verge of Death (Part Two) (Japanese: 死線[後編]) is the 12th episode of Legend of Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Encounter.

Synopsis

Reinhard von Lohengramm's counterattack commences. The Alliance supply convoy requested by the expeditionary force is ambushed by Siegfried Kircheis's fleet and is swiftly destroyed, thus bringing the expeditionary force's supply shortage to the brink. Next, the expeditionary force itself is attacked by Imperial fleets under Reinhard's overall command. The rapidity of the attack, compounded with the lack of supplies, results in the 3rd, 7th, 10th and 12th fleets either taking heavy casualties or are effectively destroyed. The 5th, 8th, 9th and 13th fleets manage to escape intact, but not without taking significant casualties as well. Despite the heavy losses, Fleet Admiral Lasalle Lobos refuses to abort the expedition and instead orders the remaining fleets to regroup in the Amritsar Starzone. Reinhard then orders his admirals to converge in the same area as well, setting the stage for a final showdown.
