Synopsis
The Rosen Ritter handily repulse the Imperial panzergrenadiers; however, before they can completely annihilate the Imperial landing force, they are requested to stand down by Willibald Joachim von Merkatz, who has received temporary command of the Iserlohn Garrison Fleet. Knowing that Neidhart Müller will spare no effort in covering the retreat of the landing force, Merkatz successfully lays a trap in the area where the Müller Fleet will pass through. Encircled with no way out, Müller nevertheless manages to hold out long enough until Karl Gustav Kempff dispatches reinforcements to rescue his fleet. Unwilling to take additional casualties, Merkatz decides not to engage with the reinforcements and allows all surviving Imperial ships to retreat back to Geiersburg Fortress. While retreating, Müller learns from a dying prisoner-of-war that Yang Wen-li is not in Iserlohn Fortress. He then tries to take advantage of this fact by dispersing his ships along the Iserlohn Corridor to lay an ambush against Yang, only for his plan to be rebuffed by Kempff, who does not believe that Yang is absent.
