Van-Fleet Starzone

Van-Fleet Starzone (Japanese: ヴァンフリート星域) is a starzone located on the former Free Planets Alliance side of the Iserlohn Corridor which was the site of numerous engagements between Alliance and Imperial forces throughout the Alliance–Imperial War.
The Van-Fleet Starzone is home to eight planets, none of which had been colonised, due primarily to the highly unstable nature of the Van-Fleet star itself. The intense electromagnetic interference from the star made most forms of communication exceptionally difficult, hampering both colonisation efforts as well as the navigation and co-ordination of starships.
On 11 March 794 UC (485 IC / 3594 CE), the Galactic Empire launched an invasion into the Van-Fleet Starzone. This battle saw the first fleet command of the newly promoted Commodore Reinhard von Lohengramm (then Reinhard von Müsel).

Background information
The name Van-Fleet may be a reference to James Van Fleet, a US Army general who served in East Asia during the 1940s and '50s.
