Betelgeuse Starzone

A territory of the Galactic Empire, the Betelgeuse Starzone is presumably one of the newer Frontier Worlds settled or explored by the Galactic Federation during the Golden Age of Humanity.
History
In 288 UC (3088 CE) Betelgeuse was the site of a battle between the Galactic Federation Armada led by Rudolf von Goldenbaum against the Main Street Pirates. During their conflict, Rudolf employed brutal tactics (which may have qualified as war crimes at the time) including the destruction of surrendering vessels. Though he received criticism for these tactics, his victories nonetheless earned Rudolf celebrity status which he was successfully able to parlay into a political career.
