Synopsis

Julian Mintz, leading his surviving forces from the Battle of Shiva, prepares to follow the Imperial expeditionary force back to Heinessen for peace talks. The announced truce is bittersweet to both sides; the Iserlohn Republic Government Forces having lost several key personnel and the New Galactic Empire receiving the news of Reinhard von Lohengramm's terminal illness. Julian and Katerose von Kreutzer embark on a dating relationship. On 10 June 801 UC (3 NIC / 492 IC / 3601 CE), the IRGF arrives with the Imperial expeditionary force on Heinessen. Adrian Rubinsky kills himself in the hospital, setting off multiple bombs under Heinessenpolis tied to his brain waves in a last ditch attempt to bring down Reinhard. Reinhard and Julian discuss the steps for the future. Julian is willing to exchange Iserlohn Fortress for the autonomy of Heinessen and its surrounding starzone and suggests Reinhard to set up a constitution for the Empire. Reinhard recommends Julian to discuss any long term plans with Hildegard von Lohengramm instead. Both Julian and Reinhard's staff then prepare to leave for Fezzan.
