Ulanhu (Japanese: ウランフ, Chinese: 伍蘭夫) was a Alliance vice admiral and the commander of the 10th Fleet. He was considered to be a skilled officer and helped cover the withdrawal of the defeated 11th Fleet in the Third Battle of Tiamat. During the attempted invasion of the Galactic Empire in 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE), he was killed at the Battle of Lügen after staying behind in the rearguard to help the rest of the 10th Fleet escape from the Black Lancers.

Ulanhu was also the name of a Mongolian politician.
During the Third Battle of Tiamat, Admiral Ulanhu had a banner on his ship's bridge, which had the simplified Chinese character for "horse". This combined with the historical example of his name, suggests Ulanhu was of Mongolian background.
Ulanhu was posthumously promoted two ranks to Fleet Admiral.
