Service history

The Lugeilan participated in the Second Battle of Tiamat.

When Warwick became Chief Commander of the Free Planets Alliance Star Fleet in 751 UC (442 IC / 3551 CE), Lugeilan would have become flagship for the Free Planets Alliance Star Fleet. When Warwick stepped down from that post in 753 UC (444 IC / 3553 CE), Lugeilan would presumably have either been decommissioned or transferred to the command of another officer. Design

The Lugeilan like other Alliance flagships of the era, had a single very large engine section. Notable characteristics of the Lugeilan include a somewhat bulbous prow and two large red colored grilles on each side of its engine section. These are the intake ports for a Bussard ram scoop, which used large electromagnetic fields on the order of hundreds of kilometers in diameter to gather material, mostly hydrogen atoms, for use by the main engines. Such intake ports would be a common feature on later Alliance flagships. Additional armor plating protected both sides of its front hull section.
