Service history
The Marduk accompanied the reinforcements led by Admiral Yang Wen-li at the Eighth Battle of Iserlohn in 798 UC (489 IC / 3598 CE). Though the Alliance Fleet defeated the Imperial forces, both Rear Admirals Alarcon and Nguyen Van Huu took their fleets in pursuit of the Imperial remnants under Admiral Müller. However, they were ambushed by the fleets of High Admiral Mittermeyer and Reuenthal. The Marduk was blown in half, and the front portion of the ship collided with an Alliance cruiser, killing Alarcon. (LOGH: 'The Return', 'Determination and Ambition')
Design
Although the Marduk resembles a standard Alliance battleship (such as the Ulysses), there are several differences in its design, including differing port and starboard armament, canted ventral antennae, and additional structures on the dorsal hull.
