Service history
Vice Admiral Holland gained command of the 11th Fleet and took the Epimetheus as his flagship after distinguishing himself in battle at the Sixth Battle of Iserlohn in 794 UC (485 IC / 3594 CE). The Epimetheus led the 11th Fleet (joined by the 5th Fleet and 10th Fleet) to counter an Imperial expeditionary force under the command of Fleet Admiral Gregor von Mückenberger in February 795 UC (486 IC / 3595 CE), resulting in the Third Battle of Tiamat. Though Vice Admiral Holland dominated the battle for hours, the Imperial reserve fleet under Vice Admiral Reinhard von Müsel executed a timely single-point artillery attack, destroying the Epimetheus and leaving the 11th Fleet leaderless. It suffered heavy losses in the subsequent rout. (HBSHBL: 'A Hundred Billion Stars, One Ambition'; TBT: 'Part One', 'Part Two')
The Epimetheus was replaced as the flagship of the 11th Fleet by the Leonidas II. (LOGH: 'The Battle of Doria Starzone, And...')
