Service history
The Dagda participated in the Second Battle of Tiamat as the flagship of the Kartenborn Fleet. During the initial stage of that battle, it was part of the Imperial force that attempted to maneuver into the Alliance force's rear. When that attempt was abandoned, Kartenborn rejoined the main Imperial force and formed its middle section in the 2nd phase of the battle, when both sides tried to turn into the enemy's rear. On 10 December (745 UC (436 IC / 3545 CE)) the Dagda and the rest of the Kartenborn Fleet broke formation with the main Imperial force and launched a frontal assault on the Alliance force. Initially successful, the advance stalled after occupying the F4 sector. Seizing the opportunity, the Alliance 4th Fleet launched a fierce counterattack. Dagda took a hit to the left side of its main engine and lost control. Seconds later secondary explosions destroyed the ship and Vice Admiral Kartenborn. Design
The Dagda was indistinguishable from a standard Imperial battleship of that era. (SL: 'The Death of a Hero: Chronicle of the Second Battle of Tiamat, Part II')
