Service history
The Audhumla participated in the Second Battle of Tiamat as the flagship of the entire Imperial fleet. Its fate is unknown though given that the last organized Imperial resistance in that battle was led by Hauser von Steiermark rather than Fleet Admiral Zieten, it is possible the Audhumla was either destroyed or captured. (SL: 'The Man Loved by the Goddess of Time: Chronicle of the Second Battle of Tiamat, Part I', 'The Death of a Hero: Chronicle of the Second Battle of Tiamat, Part II')
Design
The Audhumla was similar to the standard Imperial battleship of its era, but was enlarged with greater weaponry and more engines. It mounted a total of 12 engines at its rear: 6 engines in 3 dual housings dorsally and 6 engines in one large ventral housing. It was very similar in outward appearance to the Diarium and the Bergelmir, being distinguished by its double row of 4 secondary guns on its main hull and gold-tinged (instead of silver-white) additional armor plating. It and its sister ships may be predecessors to later Imperial flagship designs like the Wilhelmina.
