Service history

The Airget lamh served as a squadron flagship, joining the Yang Fleet at its formation in late 796 UC (487 IC / 3596 CE). Its first battle was against the 11th Fleet in the Battle of Doria Starzone, where Commodore Fischer's squadron participated in the encirclement of the 11th Fleet. (LOGH: 'New Trends', 'The Battle of Doria Starzone, And...')

In 798 UC (489 IC / 3598 CE), it defended Iserlohn Fortress at the Eighth Battle of Iserlohn, and again in the Ninth Battle of Iserlohn when High Admiral Reuenthal attacked the fortress as part of Operation Ragnarok from late 798 UC (489 IC / 3598 CE) to early 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE). (LOGH: 'Fortress vs Fortress', 'The Sounding of Gjallarhorn')

Joining the rest of the Yang Fleet in evacuating the fortress, the Airget lamh fought in the subsequent battles of the war leading up to the Battle of Vermilion in 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE). (LOGH: 'The Battle of Vermilion (Part One)', 'The Battle of Vermilion (Part Two)')

Decommissioning

By the terms of the Treaty of Barlat, the Alliance was required to dismantle all of its battleships and carriers. The Airget lamh was presumably dismantled under that treaty. (LOGH: 'The Magician Is Captured')

Background information

The name Airget lamh is a common Japanese misspelling of Airgetlám, the well-known nickname of Nuada, a king of Irish mythology. The word means silver hand and refers to the silver prosthesis that was fashioned for Nuada after his arm was lost in battle.
