Horst Schürer (Japanese: ホルスト・シューラー) was an ace Walküre fighter squadron commander. At the Battle of Vermilion in 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE), he lured the Alliance Spartanian squadrons into Imperial cruiser fire, causing heavy casualties amongst the Alliance pilots, and particularly resulting in the death of Alliance ace Ivan Konev. His personal Walküre was adorned with multiple Alliance kill markings. (LOGH: 'The Battle of Vermilion (Part Two)')
