Paetta (Japanese: パエッタ) was a vice admiral who served the Free Planets Alliance during the Battle of Astarte.

The Battle of Astarte

During the battle, Vice Admiral Paetta was severely injured and forced to turn over command of the 2nd Fleet to his subordinate, Commodore Yang Wen-li. Though Vice Admiral Paetta's friend, Vice Admiral Pastolle, was killed in action at Astarte, Paetta survived the battle and continued to serve in the Alliance military. The Battle of Rantemario

During the Operation Ragnarök, Paetta, like many other remnant admirals of the Free Planets Star Fleet, was called upon to repel the Imperial invasion. By that time, he was appointed as the commander of the 1st Fleet. Under the command of Fleet Admiral Alexandre Bewcock, Paetta, Lionel Morton and Ralph Carlsen attempted to defeat a superior Imperial force in the Rantemario Starzone. Despite their struggles, the Alliance fleet was nearly destroyed by the Imperials, and they were unable to stop imperial advance deep into Alliance territory. Only Yang Wen-li's attack on the Imperial fleet could save Bewcock's fleet from total defeat. (LOGH: 'The Cold Spell Arrives', 'The Two-Headed Snake: The Battle of Rantemario')

After Ragnarök

Paetta's status in the interim after the Battle of Rantemario is unknown. In March 801 UC (3 NIC / 492 IC / 3601 CE), Paetta was detained under Paul von Oberstein's so-called "Grass-mowing Operation". Paetta and over five thousand other former public and senior military figures of the Free Planets Alliance were detained for the purpose of being used as negotiation fodder against the Iserlohn Republic Government. However, during a riot at Rugpool Prison, Paetta was killed. (LOGH: 'Cosmic Mosaic', 'Planet of Confusion')
