Carnap (Japanese: カルナップ) was an Imperial vice admiral who served under Reinhard von Lohengramm at the Battle of Vermilion. Vice Admiral Carnap, along with the majority of the Imperial fleet, was encircled by the Yang Fleet. Carnap ordered his fleet to attack the Alliance fleet where friendly forces were concentrating their fire, in an attempt to break out of the encirclement. Fleet Admiral Yang deliberately let Carnap through, and as Carnap's fleet passed through the Müller Fleet, opened fired on them both. The Heremoss was destroyed in the crossfire and Carnap was killed aboard his flagship. (LOGH: 'The Battle of Vermilion (Part Two)')
