Gregor von Krumbach (Japanese: グレゴール・フォン・クルムバッハ) was an officer of the Imperial Military Police.
History
In 792 UC (483 IC / 3592 CE), Reinhard von Lohengramm (then Müsel) and Siegfried Kircheis were assigned to the destroyer Ermland II as captain and executive officer, respectively. Their fleet was stationed at the Iserlohn Fortress. In May, Krumbach arrived at Iserlohn Fortress and informed Reinhard's direct superior Helmut Lennenkampf that he would be conducting a secret investigation on Reinhard, declaring it to be a matter of national security. After receiving permission from Lennenkampf, Krumbach proceeded to interrogate Reinhard and Kircheis separately about the death of Captain Herder. Ostensibly, Krumbach wanted to clear up any doubts regarding Herder's death, but in reality, he was under the orders of Marquise Sussanna von Beenemünde to find an excuse to kill Reinhard. However, before Krumbach made any headway, news on the incoming Alliance expeditionary fleet broke out and all military personnel were to take up their respective positions. Having no choice, Krumbach boarded the Ermland II along with Reinhard and Kircheis to keep an eye on them as the Fifth Battle of Iserlohn began. Krumbach was unable to execute his orders in the midst of battle, and had to wait until the Ermland II retreated back to the Iserlohn Fortress. Krumbach then tried to ambush Reinhard but in the ensuing firefight, Reinhard, with the help of Kircheis, managed to turn the tables against Krumbach and he was ultimately killed by Reinhard.
