History
In 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE), then-Vice Admiral Brauhitch participated in Operation Ragnarok under the direct command of Fleet Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm. Brauhitch engaged the fleet of Yang Wen-li during the Battle of Vermilion, though a foolhardy advance by Vice Admiral Isaak Fernand von Thurneysen result in their two fleets becoming mixed up and confused. Yang was able to deal them heavy casualties as a result, and the Brauhitch Fleet was later encircled by the Yang Fleet along with the majority of Imperial forces. He managed to survive the battle, however. (LOGH: 'The Battle of Vermilion (Part One)', 'The Battle of Vermilion (Part Two)')
Despite the problems at Vermilion, Brauhitch was promoted to admiral afterwards and ended up taking part in the Battle of the Corridor in mid 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE). His fleet and its minesweepers were among the first Imperial units to engage the enemy, and created the breach in the mines that allowed the Empire to enter the Iserlohn Corridor. (LOGH: 'The Battle of the Corridor: Kaleidoscope')
