History
Little is known about Soul's early life and career. In 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE) before the Battle of Rantemario, as a Lieutenant commander, Soul reported to Alexandre Bewcock that his adjutant Pfeifer had collapsed due to a heart attack. Bewcock then appointed Soul as his new adjutant on the spot. Soul respected Bewcock immensely, and did not appear to be offended when Bewcock was unable to pronounce his original surname "Soulzzkaritter" and had addressed him as simply "Soul" instead. Eventually he even officially changed his surname to its shortened form. (LOGH: 'The Cold Spell Arrives', 'The Battle of the Corridor: The Invincible and the Undefeated')
After the first Alliance–Imperial War ended in May 799 UC (1 NIC / 490 IC / 3599 CE), Alexandre Bewcock retired from the Free Planets Star Fleet, and Soul's status in the interim was unknown. When Bewcock returned from retirement later that year to lead a last stand for the Free Planets Alliance, Soul sought to be re-appointed as Bewcock's adjutant, only to be refused. Instead, Bewcock ordered Soul to join the Yang Fleet. While en route to the location of the Yang Fleet, Soul assisted Fyodor Patrichev in suppressing a mutiny that threatened to dissolve the fleet that was meant to reinforce the Yang Fleet. (LOGH: 'Ragnarök Again', 'The Edict of the Winter Rose Garden')
As a staff officer in the Yang Fleet, Soul participated in the Battle of the Corridor in April 800 UC (2 NIC / 491 IC / 3600 CE). After the battle, he accompanied Yang Wen-li to attend the peace talk offered by Reinhard von Lohengramm where he became caught up in the Terraist plot to assassinate Yang, and he ended up as the only survivor of Yang's entourage. Soul remained with the Yang Fleet, and after the establishment of the Iserlohn Republic Government, he participated in the Eleventh Battle of Iserlohn in February 801 UC (3 NIC / 492 IC / 3601 CE), and the Battle of Shiva later that year. Subsequently, he accompanied Julian Mintz to meet up with Reinhard von Lohengramm at Heinessen.
